Minor and disabled athletes should pay attention to the following when submitting a sample for doping!
During the sampling process, an athlete under the age of 18 should not be alone. In order to prevent it, the athlete should be constantly accompanied during the sample delivery process. For example, it can be a family member, coach or friend of the athlete. Whether a representative is present or not and how the representative participates during the process depends on the athlete. The representative must be over 18 years old.
Any changes to the process related to the presence of adults and representatives should be documented. The person notifying the athlete of the need to submit a sample must first notify the athlete, and then repeat the notification to the athlete's representative, including rights and obligations.
During the testing procedure, a second observer must be present to monitor the doping officer. They should not be able to see the athlete. The second observer should not directly witness the sample transfer process in the toilet. They are necessary to ensure the integrity and security of the witnessing process. The athlete may, if he wishes, take his representative with him to the toilet or ask him to act as an additional second observer.
