Cooperation with Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute is being established

Decision No. 336 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (July 29, 2022) "On measures to further develop the Olympic types of sports wrestling" was adopted, and with this decision, tasks were assigned to the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan.

In order to ensure the execution of the tasks specified in the decision, the Agency has developed a long-term program. In the program - to promote athletes and trainers to "transparent sport", conduct events to increase the culture and literacy of athletes and trainers regarding the correct use of drugs and other substances with pharmacological effects in sports, provide athletes with relevant educational and informational materials on anti-doping topics and various visual information and implementation of effective anti-doping control over athletes' strict compliance with anti-doping rules is envisaged.

Specialists of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute visited our Agency today in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks defined in the program. During the meeting, experts spoke about the effects of drugs banned in sports on human health.

 "There are many cases where some athletes come to us  saying  "I have consumed a prohibited drug and after a week I have a competition, give me drugs that do not detect doping," say specialists of the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached on conducting educational seminars throughout the Republic based on the plan.
